30 Days, 30 Countries - Day 24: Mali

30 Days, 30 Countries - Day 24: Mali

In a village in Mali, six women set up a small business with support from Islamic Relief. Collecting and grinding nuts, they produce and sell shea butter, the main ingredient of many skin creams. The business grew quickly, and with training and support, now employs 74 women. We even partnered them with a cosmetics company in Paris, who now buy and import their butter!

The women can now support their children, and as the business grows and they take on new employees, they’re helping more and more women do the same. Donate to Islamic Relief this Ramadan and inshaAllah, we can double your donation with match funding from the UK Government up to a maximum of £5 million. Help us lift twice as many families out of poverty around the world!
